A practical workflow

Start with the right source

Use the original room photograph as the master. The background is part of the property being represented, so AI subject removal is usually the wrong operation. Resize a copy for the receiving listing service while keeping the room’s proportions. Crop only when it improves framing without concealing a meaningful limitation or feature that a viewer needs to understand.

Inspect what the edit changes

Look at door frames, window edges, ceiling lines and objects near the corners. A stretched image can make a narrow room look wider. White margins from a fit operation may be preferable to distortion, but the final platform preview should still be checked. Start with a crop that naturally matches the requested shape when possible.

Keep these limits in view

Do not remove permanent structures, neighboring buildings, fixed damage or unwanted views to change what the property appears to offer. The local resize tool does not judge disclosure rules. Follow the listing service and any professional obligations that apply to your photographs.

Worked workflow

Worked workflow: open a property image in Resize, preserve its proportions, save a JPG and inspect the actual listing thumbnail. The Airbnb, Zillow and Vrbo guides link directly to their differing published recommendations.

Keep the original

Use a copy for the prepared version.

Make the local edit

Choose a crop or output format for its destination.

Inspect the export

Check the actual file and the final display.

Save a usable handoff

Choose PNG when another design tool needs a transparent layer. Choose JPG when the destination expects an opaque photograph. WebP is useful when the receiving app accepts it. The download checks the actual output type rather than giving a file a misleading extension.

The editor processes image contents on your device. Background removal downloads the model first, then uses local computation. Keep your original and inspect the exported copy before publishing. The app does not send the finished image to a platform, guarantee acceptance or replace the specialist workflow described above.
