A practical workflow

Logo files without accidental white boxes

Choose transparency and file conversion carefully when preparing an existing logo.

Start with the right source

Use the original vector or transparent master when it is available. A raster screenshot of a logo is already a compromise: the letters, small counters and thin strokes can be difficult to separate from the page. Converting that screenshot to PNG does not remove its white background. It only changes how the existing pixels are stored.

Inspect what the edit changes

Inspect enclosed letter shapes, tiny registration marks and the space between strokes. A general photographic subject model may keep the outer symbol while deleting lettering or filling holes. For a brand asset, exact geometry matters more than a plausible-looking cutout. Compare the result to the approved master before sharing it.

Keep these limits in view

Do not claim that an AI mask recreates a vector logo. It remains a raster image and can soften when enlarged. If the original artwork is lost, ask for a proper source file or use a dedicated vector editor to rebuild the mark with the necessary rights.

Worked workflow

Worked workflow: open an existing transparent PNG in Convert, save WebP for a compatible web destination, and inspect the transparent corners. For print or further editing, retain the original vector file rather than relying on this conversion.

Keep the original

Use a copy for the prepared version.

Make the local edit

Choose a crop or output format for its destination.

Inspect the export

Check the actual file and the final display.

Save a usable handoff

Choose PNG when another design tool needs a transparent layer. Choose JPG when the destination expects an opaque photograph. WebP is useful when the receiving app accepts it. The download checks the actual output type rather than giving a file a misleading extension.

The editor processes image contents on your device. Background removal downloads the model first, then uses local computation. Keep your original and inspect the exported copy before publishing. The app does not send the finished image to a platform, guarantee acceptance or replace the specialist workflow described above.
